Can anyone just point me in the right direction to create a pop-up notification banner on the top right of the Zendesk page? We want to be able to trigger this notification based on certain criteria. I don't suppose we can do this with API. Can someone show me how to add that setting to a custom app

Hey, Jesuloluwa!

Can you let me know in a bit more detail what your use case is, i.e under which circumstances or events would you like a notification to be presented to the user?

Looks forward to hearing from you!

I too would like to know I currently have a side bar app and under a condition I want to pop up a warning notification is this possible?

Hey there,

You can accomplish this with a notification event.

Hope this helps!

@tipene speaking for @jesuloluwa here, but if there are system outages happening, say an AWS event that's affecting login or a heavily used section of the product - having a banner across the top of the page calling out the event etc. could help deflect tickets and better inform end users.

Looks like maybe this could be created via API, but a little surprised this isn't something out of the box that can be configured and toggled on off via Guide Admin.

Hi Derek! There is a post in our community from a few years back that is still a valid solution for this use-case that you can read about here. There are comments in the last couple of pages that may apply to you if you are running theming version 2, along with some other caveats. Let us know if you have any questions about this!
