Zendesk Chat APIs for external chat integration

We have a customer who have their own chat client with bot. They want to escalate the chat to zendesk agent when bot escalates to live agent. Chat UI remains same (existing) for customer. We want to keep this on server side so all message goes through their existing chat engine.

To be completely honest, I'm not at all sure how that could work programmatically, but I do know that your best chance of exploring options would be with Sunshine Conversations. I wish that I could provide some more information on this topic, I just don't have any experience or examples of this.

Thank Greg. I have been trying to explore sunshine. Problem is it is difficult to find how to configure sunshine with zendesk. It would be great to get sandbox to try it possible. I don't know if there are any partner engagement team in zendesk who can support us. We can build excellent join offering if we get support.
