Update Custom Object Record - not updating

Is anyone else having issues with PATCH {{baseUrl}}/api/v2/custom_objects/{{custom_object_key}}/records/{{custom_object_record_id}}

Doesn't actually update the record but returns a 200 response anyway? 

For purposes of this post I have put in place holders but I am sending actual data for {{}}
