console error "messenger:on.open does not exist"

Hi,
there seems to be an error regarding the internal messaging library of the widget.
Widget does work correctly - Chat works correctly - knowledge base lookups work correctly but the error pops up in the console when the app mounts.

I double checked the docs and it seems that the setup on our side is correct.

Any help would be appreciated! :)

Hey Ivan,

Do you have a custom implementation of the widget or are you just using the standard script? If using a custom implementation can you share your code snippet?

Thanks!

Hey Eric,

We are using basic "https://static.zdassets.com/ekr/snippet.js?key=" script tag in index.html in addition to some "zE()" calls to "show", "hide", "close", "reset", "logout"...

We also have Upscope integration so I was wondering could there be some library internal incorrect calls from Upscope to Zendesk?

Thx

Hey Ivan,

It's very possible that it's upscope that's causing it. Do you mind if I move this into a ticket so that you can share the actual code snippet?

Thanks!
