Hello! I found this old topic about deleting tags, but it's been closed and I wanted to follow up after two years: is there any plan to implement a function to completely delete tags from the system? That would be a big improvement. Thank you very much!

Have you taken a look at this article for managing ticket tags
 
It looks like you can delete tags from the Admin Center using the instructions in that article.

Hi @brett13, sorry if I didn't get back on this anymore since September.

Anyhow, no, that's not what I was looking for. I don't want to delete a tag from all non-closed tickets, I would like to delete that tag completely from Zendesk. As if it was never even created in the first place. There are many tags that were mistakenly created (like duplicates, or typos), and there's no way to delete them from the system. Any insights? Thanks!

We can only heavily +1 this. It is very cumbersome to create ZD Explore charts and extract data as we have 10+ years of tags causing noise. Having the option to "nuke" certain tags would be a great help when creating Zendesk reports. Currently, due to all of the tags in our Zendesk system over the decade, it makes ZD Explore very laggy and a lot of work to "untick"/"tick" the certain tags we are trying to filter out.
