Zendesk keeps logging me out

Every few minutes I find that zendesk has automatically logged me out and I have to re-enter my login name and password again. It is very annoying.

Can anyone suggest why this is occuring?

This can happen even while I am entering ticket text.

It happened to us August the 1st while using Microsoft Edge but not again when using Firefox and Chrome.

Hello Colin,

This type of occurrence can usually be attributed to browser software and/or caching issues.  If you are not using Google Chrome, I would recommend doing so.  IE and Edge are known to have this type of timeout issue.  

I would also recommend trying to clear your cache and cookies, maybe even try disabling browser extensions to see if there are any extensions that are interfering with the performance of the software.

Thanks for the feedback Patrick and Deligny,  I was using Edge but I have started using Google Chrome and so far I have not experienced the same issue. Hopefully that will be the end of it although even when using Edge for more than a year I didn't usually experience the problem. It only happens some days. The following day it can operate all day without asking me to log in again.

We are experiencing the same issue with Edge.  This issue basically blocks us from using Edge.  Would be really nice to hear from Zendesk that there is better support for Edge.

We are experiencing this same issue. The ZenDesk official requirements page says that Edge is supported, but I have thoroughly checked the Edge browser for cookie-related issues including a complete fresh instance of the browser and I am still seeing this issue -- after signing in, users and agents are immediately signed out. Please help!

ZenDesk followed up with me to try and troubleshoot this. Other computers and even a different user on the same machine do not experience this issue -- just one user, on a fresh image, in Internet Explorer and Edge -- they are constantly logged out moments after they log in. After spending way too much time on this, we gave up and simply told our agent to use another browser.

Dear Zendesk, 

I am a chrome user. I have been experiencing similar issues in the past months. Today I lost a long email that I had  been working on and that was about to be sent! 

Is it possible that someone who had stolen access to my login was behind this? Or is it just a cache problem?

Hey Shanna,

This sounds like this could be a caching issue with your browser. You'll want to check and confirm your Chrome browser is up to date and possibly clear your browser's cache/cookies. If someone else logs into your Support account, it wouldn't log you out on your end. This would only occur in Zendesk Chat since you can only be logged in from one location at a time.

Disappointed to see that there hasn't been a resolution provided by Zendesk for this issue. The problem is affecting a number of my colleagues and clients. We run Zendesk as a Client Area and it's therefore difficult to prompt our users to regularly clear their browser's cache/cookies.
