Will tables work in content blocks?

After attempting to turn a section of an article with a table into a content block, it seems to have permanently erased my table formatting. Even when i restore a previous version of the article.

Chiming in. This would be immensely helpful for some of our article navigation when doing a series of articles. Rather than having to copy and paste the code into each article's source, using the content block would be amazing.
