We are thrilled to announce the General Availability Generative AI for call summaries, starting July 10, 2024. This feature will be available to our Zendesk Talk customers (Professional and above) who have subscribed to the Advanced AI add-on.
This feature uses the power of AI to transcribe and summarize your calls, making it easier than ever to keep track of customer interactions.
Starting from July 10, 2024, a nominal call transcription fee of $0.01 (USD) per minute will be applicable when the feature is in use.
Here's what you and your customers need to know:
- Those on EAP and would like to continue using the generative AI call transcription and summarization feature after July 10, 2024, you will need to subscribe to Advanced AI. Please note that you must be on the Suite or Support Professional plan or higher.
- Once you have subscribed to Advanced AI, activating the feature is a breeze. Simply navigate to Admin Center > Talk and email > Talk > Settings to turn it on.
- Please be aware of the transcription fee mentioned above. This will be included in your Talk usage invoices after July 10, 2024, for phone numbers where the generative AI call transcription and summarization feature is being used.
- To estimate future transcription charges, you can use your past call recording charge data in the Talk usage report. Navigate to Admin Center > Talk and email > Talk > Usage charges. On this page, divide the total Credit used amount for Recordings by the existing $0.003 call recording rate (or local currency equivalent) to determine call recording minutes. Multiply those minutes by $0.01 (USD) to estimate future generative AI call transcription costs.
