Unable to initialize CSAT EAP in sandbox with unhelpful error

Trying to enable the "Customer satisfaction" EAP feature will fail (atleast in our sandbox) with unhelpful error message.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Navigate to admin -> object and rules -> Customer satisfaction
  2. Check off "Turn on Customer satisfaction surveys"
  3. Leave everything on default
  4. Press "Save"
  5. Get "Powered by Automation" modal, click "Turn on"
  6. Receive message "Changes couldn't be saved" but no specifics
  7. Unable to proceed

Thank you for reporting and sorry for the inconvenience. We introduced this issues today and we've already fixed it.

You can try to reactivate the survey. If it doesn't work, please try to deactivate automation associated with the old CSAT.

This happened to us too. We didn't discover it until a day and a half later. We have to now isolate all of the tickets that were sent a CSAT survey with a dead link and ask them to resubmit.

It's working as it should now. 

How can we trust this won't happen again?
