Hi Team,

Please help me with the questions asked by one of my customers:

1-Defination of MAU

2-What is included in pre committed 50,000 notifications.

Thanks

Hi Monica,

MAU stands for Monthly Active User(s).

MAUs are a way of calculating monthly usage based on a unique end-user's activity, regardless of channel.

For the Notifications - this is when a business would send out notifications to their customers using SunCo; the pre committed model was before SunCo was added in the Suite, now there are some add-ons which can be purchased.

More details including examples are in the Sunshine Conversations in the Suite - Pricing and Packaging (Partners) course.

Thanks, Florin

Though customer would like to know in detail what's all included while sending the notifications ie links, video, templates etc ..as they have got overages from whats app and are getting confused with what's app fees and notifications.

I can share any link with them to understand what is included while sending notifications.

Pls help.

Existing WhatsApp pricing provides details about conversation-based model.
The changes to this pricing were covered in recent Partner Cafe / Tech Cafe editions, I suggest reviewing the slides and recording from Partner Connect portal.

@florin, can you elaborate on what is MAU with some use case and examples for how notification are counted ?

One MAU is equivalent to each unique end user that engages with the bot per channel over one calendar month.

A Notification is an attempted or sent text, multimedia, and structured message to any supported Third Party Messaging Platform via the Sunshine Conversation Notification API.

If there is a specific scenario that is causing confusion or is unclear if it should be counted, please let us know. We can review and advise, and even run it past our Sunshine experts to confirm and elaborate on why a particular counting is that way.

Hi Anurag,

Is it calculated when the Business connects or the end-user sends the message?

The end user is part of MAU while notification is part of Business Connecting
