Responding to a voice message with voice

We are using the WhatsApp plug-in. We are able to receive and listen to voice messages from clients. However, we do not see the option to respond to this message with voice -- only with text. Is there a way to do this, or a workaround that works at the moment?

I don't believe this is an option currently. I am curious why you would respond to a voice message via voice, if a person is blind or can't read it makes sense, but mostly I send voice when I am not able to type, and prefer to receive text back as playing voice messages can be awkward.

Hey Andrew -- thanks for confirming! Yes, precisely -- we receive a lot of voice messages and want to respond in the same format. Voice messages are very popular across Central and Latin America where we work, for instance. It's also a matter of accessibility, like you said, if someone is hard of seeing or semi-literate.

The only way to reply to a voice message with a voice message at this time is for an agent to separately record a response and then attach the voice recording to a new reply on the ticket.
