Multiple Zendesk SPF records

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to understand why I have 2 Zendesk netblocks in my SPF record. Both the

_netblock.zdsys.com

mail.zendesk.com

Netblocks are in my SPF record. _netblock.zdsys.com is a duplicate of the IPs in mail.zendesk.com. The latter has more IPs in the list. I'm wondering if removing the former will have any impacts to emails from zendesk? I wouldn't imagine it to be as the IPs are the ones you are allowing to send emails on your behalf, but would like someone's opinion on it.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Jesus!

My best guess here is that the zdsys record is old, and can be removed. The current setup can be viewed here:

https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203683886-Allowing-Zendesk-to-send-email-on-behalf-of-your-email-domain#ariaid-title4

Hope this helps!

Hey there Jesus,

What Allen is indicating is correct. As long as you're using the new record you should be all clear to remove the zdsys one. From what I've been seeing on my end is that is an outdated record, and has since been deprecated IIRC. The article linked above does go over the proper setup now!

I'm thinking once you apply these changes you should be good to go!

I hope this helps clear it up as well!
