Inserting small content blocks as part of a sentence

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but one of my intended uses for content blocks was with very small bits of content and links.  For instance, let's say I have an annual event that's referenced across articles and the sentence is: "Please plan to join us for the annual College Day events which will be held June 14-15, 2021."

When I try to insert a content block in the middle of a paragraph, it inserts it after the current paragraph as a new one.

At least for now, that's the behavior.  It's currently not possible to create just a sub-paragraph to insert anywhere unfortunately.  We'd also like that functionality, but it doesn't sound like it's in the works anytime soon.

OK - thanks for confirming!  "Brief blocks" would also be helpful for website addresses.
