i have the following problem:
We are writing a FAQ and sometimes when we upload images in the FAQ the images disappear or are not displayed.
Or sometimes when im logged in as the author i can say see the images, but when im not logged in, i see that:

I am pretty sure I experienced that problem in the past when I was linking to images rather than embedding them. If the logged in user had permission to the linked site, they appeared. If not, missing. (I was always had permission to the site, so it was harder for me to track it down).
I suspect that is not your issue, though. Have you looked at this article?

What does your source code for the missing image look like?
Is it consistent? So if the image is missing, it is always missing, or is it missing and then reappears for some users?
I can't seem to get access to this article.
Our site is experiencing AGENTs/End users also loosing access to images .
They go in fine but when referenced later they are not available.
