How to you automatically trigger specific email address to SOLVED or CLOSED

Hi guys i need help,

 

i have a specific email address that sends me notifications when a customer buys something from us but i dont need to read those emails and i would like them automatically marked as solved or closed.

I have seen how to make specific emails with certain "wording" in the title filtered to closed or solved but i havent found how to make specific email addresses filtered?

 

please advise

Andrew,

You have two choices, the email address needs to exist as an address in your Zendesk or exist as an end user. That way when you create the trigger, you can set the condition that if it exists as a user / or comes in from a specific channel (from that address), then it automatically sets it to solve and notifies you.

Hi the user is a end user and I go to create new trigger and in the meet all conditions what drop down to i choose for the ticket? As if I choose channel you can't put in the user you want to stop emails coming from?

Andrew, I have set a tag on some end-users to indicate their tickets should be automatically closed. These tend to be automated systems sending us emails, we are not picking on customers we do not like :)

When a new ticket is created, the tag will be copied from the user to the ticket and therefore we can have a trigger detect the presence of this tag and change the status to be closed. We leave the tag there as an audit as to why the ticket was closed.

ok thanks so i go to triggers, create a trigger for all conditions meet 'TAGS"

contains at least the following tags "XYZ ETC" and then make status as closed.

so does this mean any end user that has the tag "XYZ ETC" in their profile will have any emails coming in from them as AUTOMATICALLY closed?

Yes, tickets inherit the tags of the requester's profile. So any user with matching tags will have their tickets automatically closed by your trigger.
