How to use nested dynamic content on the Help Center.

Hey Jessica,

This works in Zendesk for DC in emails, but I'm not sure about Guide. It's not fun to try to maintain though.

What's the problem you're trying to solve by using nested Dynamic content in your Guide template? Maybe there's an alternative method to solve it?

EDIT: If you have the nested DC use the Zendesk Placeholder for the nested content, instead of nesting the Guide format for invoking it, does it work?

ex: {{dc 'test1'}} is in Guide and call the DC.

Inside 'test1' is {{dc.test2}} -> the placeholder from within Zendesk, rather than the {{dc 'quotedname'}} style. I wonder if you just have to call the top level one and the rest is taken care of when processing the first one?

Neither {{dc 'test'}} or {{dc.test}} seems to work. 

I'm trying to see if I can store JSON as dynamic content (like in this tip) and use already translated pieces of dynamic content as values in this JSON.

i just had a chance to test this out myself and had similar results. It doesn't appear that nested dynamic content is supported in the Guide templates. I'm not sure if this is by design or a bug though, you may want to confirm with Zendesk.

I'd also like to use Dynamic content in our Help Center.

Use Case: Mainly for screenshots that we embed in our help Centers. Recently we redesigned our User Interface so we had to go through our entire help center replacing and screenshots of our old interface, with the equivalent screenshot from our new interface. Many screenshots show up in more that one article, so dynamic content would reduce the amount of content we have to update and give us visibility into all the screenshots that are being used in our help center

Thanks for pointing me to that article. That is useful, although it appears that we can't use dynamic content in an article itself. I added my previous comment to the other article to see if anyone has found a workaround.
