I have Categories > Sections > Articles.

Admin: Can view categories (This is the UI I want), End Users: Can not view categories, but they can view sections

How can I make the categories visible to my end users?

Hi Sean,

To make categories visible to end users in Zendesk, ensure you have more than one category and that each category's content is published to be "Visible to everyone" in your help center settings. For custom help centers, review your theme settings and any code that might be restricting the display of sections or categories.

Ensure you have multiple categories
  • Categories are top-level containers for your knowledge base content.
  • If your help center has only one category, that category itself is hidden from end-users, who only see the sections within it.

Check category visibility settings
  1. Navigate to your Help Center in Zendesk.
  2. Review the visibility settings for each of your categories and sections.
  3. Ensure that all content is set to be "Visible to everyone" to appear for your end users.

Review custom theme settings (if applicable)
  • If you are using a custom theme or have modified your Help Center's appearance, check the theme's settings or code for any restrictions that could be limiting the display of categories and sections.

If articles are visible to end users then section and category containing these articles should be also visible to end user .  please post here if this does not solve the problem.
