In Zendesk Support, when typing a reply to an end user in a Public reply, you might want to include some html or xml code.
If you copy/paste the block of xml from a "no format" application such as Notepad, pasting will only show the text content of the xml, stripping out all tags.
You need to copy the xml from a "rich format" application, such as an Outlook draft email or a web page. Pasting this will include the tags.
If you open your xml in Notepad by default, copy from Notepad into an Outlook draft email first, then copy from the Outlook draft into Zendesk.
This is probably because on Windows, the underlying raw clipboard information includes formatting such as with the "HTML Format" clipboard content, whereas copying from Notepad only includes raw text information. The textbox in Zendesk will carry over the "HTML Format" clipboard information thus retaining the tags, whereas it interprets raw text as text only and strips out the tags.
