We really want to open up Zendesk to our user community, but the very first thing a user has to do is navigate the login screen that is very misleading. Nothing it says is accurate. it says "New to Nastel Technologies?" but while they may be new to using the Zendesk portion, most will have used some Nastel Service previously and will try to use those credentials which will not work. If they change their password here, it won't change them in the other services. And there appears to be no way to explain this. But to complicate it further, it says Have you emailed us? Well, again, most users might will have emailed "us" but since "us" is pretty vague, that could mean just about any email. Again, this is just going to lead to confusion. It then says If you've communicated with our support staff through email previously, you're already registered. You probably don't have a password yet, though. which is also not accurate since we do not use zendesk for support.
But I have been told that there is no way to change the text on this login screen and no way to advise the users what to do. The best we came up with a help article that explains to ignore what it says but found no easy way to ensure they see it.
I am sure there are others that face the same problems and found a few other references to it in the online system, but not anyone that proposed a way to solve it. If we can't get past this, we really can't open it up to a larger user base which means we will have to look at alternatives.
