Use this community forum

We'd like to keep feedback as social and collaborative as possible, so we invite you to follow this community forum too.

If we see that there is a topic of general interest, then we'll post about it here and invite everyone to provide their feedback. Likewise, you're welcome to ask questions or provide feedback at any time through this topic.

Suggested guidelines for giving feedback

We value your feedback, no matter what it is. We encourage you to tell us what you like, dislike, and where you could see improvements. We'd like to see a healthy forum for discussion, but we can't do that without just a little bit of effort from everyone.

Here are a couple of pointers that will really help us understand your feedback and work with you to make this EAP even better:

  • When you see something you dislike or see something you'd like improved, write it down and think about it for a little while.
  • Try to be as clear as possible in your feedback; explain why you like/dislike something, and how it could be improved.
  • Be patient when waiting for responses from Zendesk.
  • Don't use sarcasm, be rude to other customers or staff, and don't use strong language. We will moderate forum posts where we think reasonable.

Ultimately, we want this topic to be a place where any customer can come and share feedback related to the Increased in Views Side Panel EAP.

Looks like there is a bug for Admins that once this EAP is enabled the view list in my panel got reordered randomly. Some new views are added there in the panel but then some others are removed from it. Please check and fix thanks

There is an issue with the views being displayed. We restrict which views are shown to agents by limiting the view availability to certain groups in the view configuration. It seems this no longer applies and it is now based on the agent role and whether they have access to public tickets or not.

Prior to the EAP we only saw views that were configured to be visible to "All Groups" or groups that we are members of. With the EAP we see multiple Views that should not be visible based on our Group membership.

The feedback from Support: "If those views are set to groups that are public and you have access to public groups then it is expected behavior. You will have access to private groups in which you are a member of that group or groups that are public. This is determined by the views permission setting for the role. If those are views you may not want to have visible you can consider having the group setting changed to be a private group instead of public"

Why can't it just use the same logic that was used before and just allow more views to be displayed?

We can’t use this functionality the way it is working now which is unfortunate.

Thank you both for the feedback. As you both have mentioned there is a known bug where if you have access to a private group that you are not a member of you will see that View in your side panel. Without the EAP those Views would be kept out. This only affects Admin type roles that have access to all Views. Nevertheless, we are working on that bug and will have it fixed when we go GA. Thank you for sharing and helping us to make the experience better.

When is it planned that the correction will be implemented @salvador?
Right now, we don't understand the benefits of the 30 views, when it shows the top 30 shared views.

It is important to us that users only see the views if they are assigned to the group.

We would only like to see an increase in the number of views under the current conditions.

Do you know the global go-live for this feature?
