Homepage Categories As Accordion/Dropdown

Everything from this point will need to be edited from the CSS.  You can also add CSS to change the color of the accordions.  Its getting close to the point where I will need to see you HelpCenter to be able to troubleshoot further so if your Help Center is open please provide me the link.

@Wes... Quick conceptual question before I send my developer too far down a rabbit hole. 

We have a closed help center and we restrict all of our sections via tags. 

I have a list of 10 related categories that should build an accordion menu on our home page.  That's easy enough, however a given logged-in user may only have access to sections within 6 of those categories.  Can I dynamically remove the categories from that initial list of 10 based on logged-in user's section access?  is there a best practice way to go about that or will/can the API handle that inherently if i'm starting from a static list of category IDs? 

@DJ - It should dynamically remove those categories and sections that users do not have access to.  With the new curlybars framework you should be able to do all of this straight from HTML and curlybars without doing any type of development or using the API.  I have some category accordions setup so I will try and test as soon as I get some time.

I'm trying to get the home page category accordion to work with the wiry merchant theme but I'm having no luck so far. I tried the method outlined by @Jennifer above but no dice. Has something changed? Do I need to hard code the accordion or will it work with the Curlybars language?

@David it will work with the curlybar language.  I have done this with the new Copenhagen theme and the bootstrap framework.  You can find the code here.

Has anyone worked with accordions based on article labels?

I wanting to try and create groups for articles with specific labels (only using a single label) and have them display within the accordion style on the sections page.
