Gmail OAuth credentials are invalid

 We use gmail and all mails sent to a specific mailbox creates a ticket in Zendesk. This has worked for several months. We now get the error message below in Channels-->Mail.

"Unable to receive emails from this address. We can't connect to your Gmail account because your OAuth credentials are invalid. Please reconnect."

What should I do. There is no "reconnect" option. Only "retry" ( does not work) or disconnect( which seems to delete the mailadress.

Welcome to the Community, Christian! I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with this.

Luckily, the fix is really easy. All you need to do is disconnect and reconnect the email address. It won't cause you any problems; it'll just reset the connection. Nothing will get lost.

If you are still having problems after you've done this, let us know and we'll see what we can figure out!

How do you disconnect, i have the same issue but cannot find a disconnect field?

Hey Kenneth - 

You just delete the email address and then go in and set it up again.

This error caused me to miss some messages for a month. Since this is so critical zendesk should notify you in inside the application so you know it broken.

 

Most of my tickets go to my @zendesk.XXXXX.com address but some people send to @domain.com. When the link failed I never got messages for about a month to that channel.

Hi Support,

Has there been any update for an in-application notice for this 'OAuth credentials invalid' issue? Twice now all of our forwarding addresses have been affected by this and we didn't know until we went into the Email Channels setting to check it manually.

Can't Zendesk notify us when we an address can't connect? And why does this happen randomly?

It sounds like you might be facing some issues with the changes that took place with Gmail Connector. I'd suggest looking over the article I linked below to re-authorize your account, which should resolve the issues impacting you.

I meet the same problem, I want to know why this thing happened.

Because we have connected many email addresses, the problem of OAuth failure often occurs, so it will miss a lot of emails. I would rather know the specific reasons to prevent this type of thing from happening again.
