Someone at Veeva was at a conference and heard that Zendesk mentioned that there was some sort of gamification available: a badge system for people posting ideas, commenting on ideas, asking questions, replying to questions etc.
Do you have a gamification app?

There is definitely not any gamification native to our platform, nor are they planning to build that. I'm not sure who mentioned this, but my guess is that they were speaking of a third-party tool or application that they layered on top of their community - Badgeville is one I've heard mention of in the past.
The only badging the Zendesk Communities platform has is the JS hacks (which I think you're familiar with) we use to indicate moderators and Community Managers, but that is done manually, not automatically.

Mary, did you look into this any further? I would also like to incentivise use of community. The available apps seem to be more orientated around the incentivising of agents.

We don't have any apps or integrations for gamification in our marketplace as of yet. That being said, I know that there are users who have either built their own gamification systems leveraging information pulled via the API or have hired our professional services team to custom build it for them.
Hopefully some other users will be able to offer up suggestions of how they have implemented gamification on their communities.
