EAP docs: Understanding solved custom ticket statuses

When ticket statuses are enabled, any tickets that are solved with a custom ticket status retain that ticket status even after being closed.

For example, if you solve a ticket with the Relief Provided status and it is then closed, the ticket appears in the Closed status category but still retains the Relief Provided ticket status.

Is there a way to bundle/categorize sub-statuses similar to how we manage macros? So for example, top level category could be "On-hold" followed by the custom status name, each separated by two colon symbols. e.g. "On-hold::With Engineering"
