Hey,

Is there a limit to the amount of options that can be stored in a single drop down field?

I have been told there isn't by support... Haven't tested it though 😊

Do you see there being an issue on the reporting end such as there would be too many fields present to display?

Hmm, I think insights should be able to handle it, but as I said I haven't tried...

Zendesk has a post about their About field that has over 200 options.  We use the same process (without as many options) and it works pretty well.  I can vouch for up to 55 myself.

The Adding custom fields to your tickets and support request form article states that "Zendesk supports up to 2,000 values in custom drop-down and multi-select fields. You can include more values, but performance issues may arise."
