Hey Org Merge community, I'm looking for your feedback;
As part of our development on the Org Merge Beta, we have created an API that gets the status of org merge jobs in an account in order to manage concurrency, retain historical records, and provide a real-time update in the UI when an org merge has completed.
A question we have is whether this API would be valuable to anyone other than ourselves?
The API is very optimised to just Org Merge, and as a Zendesk customer integrating into Zendesk you'd might prefer the more generic solutions to these problems;
- The Job Status' API which provides a real time view of current jobs, including org merge, but is ephemeral
- The Audit Logs API which provides a historical view of historical Org Merges jobs, in the form of filterable audit events
However, there might be validity to use the Org Merge Status API, such as checking a org merge is completed before submitting a different request, or wanting to see the historical merge requests.
Please let us know what you think, we're on the fence with this one.
