Content blocks are updating and not publishing

We are updating content blocks and they are updating in the other brands that are using the same content block but they are not publishing. We still have to physically touch every article in order to use this content. Is this a bug or expected behavior?

Hi Marissa,

The model that we currently have regarding Content Blocks is that an update to a block will automatically update the Review Status of any article contained within it, as if you edited the article directly. This allows you to stage, review and publish changes as you're ready. 

However, we're working on ways to make it easier to manage these updates across brands and articles. Firstly, we're working on an ability to centrally manage Content Blocks and see all articles the block is placed in. We expect to have this available in the coming weeks. Secondly, we're looking at options to send the block updates to straight through to the published article as soon as the block is updated. We expect to have more news on that later this year.
