Cloning Knowledge Base Articles

There should be an option to clone a knowledge base article. I am trying to add multiple organizations that can view certain articles. Unfortunately, Zendesk does not have the ability to add multiple orgs.so I have to duplicate the article and select the additional group. There is no option to clone an article which makes it tedious to build. Is there any fix to this?

Hi Akida, if you're on Guide Professional or Enterprise you can create User Segments that contain multiple orgs. You can do this by adding specific orgs, or orgs with a specific tag.

If you don't have Professional or Enterprise then the easiest way to copy an article is to copy the source code directly. When you're in the edit view click on the </> icon to view the source code, copy it all, then paste it into the source code of your new article.

Thank you Chris. I walked through the User Segments process. That is when I noticed that the articles themselves only allow certain access to view. For instance: visible to everyone, signed-in users, etc. Is there a way to make it visible to more than one group?

Yes, exactly. Your user segments should be available to you under the view permissions. If you have a lot of user segments sometimes you have to perform a text search for the one you want rather than being able to select it from the drop down directly. If you do not have access to User Segments it could be that your plan doesn't support them.
