Hello,
Thanks for all the great post and guides here. I've got a lot of help here and i always find answers to my questions. However i can't find how my agents are able to se how many characters they've been using when writing.
Since a text is 160 characters we would like to see how many characters we use before sending the message. 
Is it possible to get a counter below or close to the message field so the agents can keep track on how many letters that are used in the message they're writing?

Hi,

I would like to express that this is a much needed feature. It has been over 1 year since the original post and SMS has become an even more integral part of CX. In order to have a good experience for the customer, an agent must know where the message will cut off especially since most messages end up being larger than 160 characters.  If a message cuts off in the middle of a word or sentence it can cause a customer confusion and it would also let the agent know if they need to shorten their message.

This feature is very much needed, please! 

Either a character count or a warning when we go over 1,600 characters (as at the moment, Zendesk does not give any error message at all informing us that the message is too long to be sent via SMS - it just behaves like everything has been sent except that nothing got delivered).
