Change the UI colour of active ticket

Is it possible to change the colour of the active ticket tab so that it is easily viewable?

Right now all the tabs are white and the active tab is slightly in bold.

Hi Mahesh,

Unfortunately there's no way to customize the UI colors for the ticket tabs at this time. The only color changes you can make are found under Admin>Settings>Account but this will only affect the left sidebar in the agent interface.

I would recommend cross-posting in our Support Product Feedback Forum to help provide visibility to both our Product Managers and other users in need of a similar functionality.

Hi there,

I would like to be able to adjust colours as well.  The thread is about a year old.  Has anything changed to enable this as a feature?

For me, it would be a light green background for new tickets, yellow for when tickets are getting to a certain length of time that are not answered and tickets in red that have not been answered and over a certain wait time.

I'm not able to access the above Support Product Feedback Forum link.

Thanks for the reply.

It would indeed be something beneficial for us (and maybe others) to have the backgrounds of each ticket in the queue to be coloured to specifics.

I will follow the above link and work from there.

Hi David,
Although the solution is not as integrated as something that could be featured in Zendesk in the future, I have developed a Chrome extension available on the webstore that you can use to help colour code your tickets. It's completely free, and does not interact with Zendesk in any way other than changing the styling on the rows.
Feel free to check it out and leave some feedback.

Zendesk, please also let me know if this is against any of the policies on the forums.

Hello Nevin,

I have given it a try and this is almost perfect.  To change colours and to add names of what we have for labels so it will be that colour is amazing.  Thank you for this.

Are you able to add an option for times?
When new tickets come in there is no allocation to a department, etc.  I would like to work on times.

Let's say...

00 minutes - 30 minutes = green
31 minutes - 45 minutes = yellow
46 minutes - 60 minutes = orange
61 minutes + = red

I would adjust the times/colours as we go on.  Would you be able to add that as a feature?  This would be amazing!

Glad you like the extension, if it's not too much trouble it would be a great help to leave feedback on the store page so others can find it.

That's alright, I don't think I worded it properly. The page I was referring to was the same page where you would add the extension to chrome:

Click the support tab, then click on 'Suggestion', add a subject and a description

Hi David,
Since the time input type is different to the others, it may not be possible currently with the way it works. This was just a side project for me so I didn't look into features outside the base application.

I will certainly look into this and hopefully update it (although I can't provide an ETA)

Thank you for the update.
It is a great feature that you have worked on and I thank you for that.

It is also great to know that there are options out there and it can be designed.
I will keep looking for options and hope that it will be built into Zendesk as it is a feature that many have asked for.

I understand it's a side project.  Work on it when you can and in time we'll see how it goes.  if/when you do tweak it you can let me know.
