Can't find user after update email address for 5 min

Hi,
Some users change email address and try to create a new ticket. We are checking users before sent any tickets. But Zendesk API returns a null response for the new email address. 
If the user changed email and try to sent a ticket after 5 min it will be successful.
Is there any cache problem?

It could be cache or a reindex thing, unfortunately.
