Hi All,

I was looking for inspiration while customising the new Help Center. Here are a few others I've seen about and have drawn inspiration from.

Please add more if you see any good ones!

Tom, this is great. Thanks for putting it together! We'd love to see yours when it's ready. Be sure to report back! And if you share a customization tip, we'll send you some swag. :)

Thanks @Ching, care to share how you're getting on?

Shot out to @Wes Drury for his responsive theme (try resizing your browser window).... https://moderatorwes.zendesk.com - Built with Bootstrap

Mine's not very exciting tbh... http://help.homebargains.co.uk

ModeratorWes

Thanks for the Shout Out Tom!  I'm hoping to incorporate some of our customization into a responsive theme for everyone one day!

ModeratorWes

I just updated the my test code with our Alert System that only shows when we have system alerts - Let me know what you think.

Thanks, @Tom. We actually just launched our help centre yesterday. We used the humble squid template and customized it. :)

Let me know what you think?  http://www.opensignhelp.com/hc/en-us

We're currently working on getting more content in so this should improve some more in the next couple of days.

@Wes Drury's help centre is so responsive it's good! *thumbs up* Thanks for sharing it.

@Tom and @Ching--both look amazing. Well done!

And I agree--Wes's responsive design is very cool!

@Everyone - During the holiday break I've been working on a Responsive Theme that I plan on releasing.  I would say its about 90 percent complete at this time so please take a look and let me know what you think.  I know there are a few things that I still got to get worked out and I plan on adding more cool stuff to it.  Its got dynamic accordions, CSS modifications, JS modifications, and more.

I already have the next theme lined up which will be where a small business can run their entire website from Zendesk.

Wes it looks awesome! I've already shown several people here :) Great stuff! Thanks for sharing!

ModeratorWes

@Laura - Thanks for the comment and for now this theme won't have a community since I'm unable to customize that page.  Can you find out if the Community, Login, and Submit Ticket page will be available soon to edit via the Theme Editor.  I hate to release this theme without customizing those pages.  I also have a couple of small things that I may need someone to look at as I can't figure out what's going on between the Bootstap and code that Zendesk is injecting in.  Overall I think its going to be a great theme once I'm done.

ModeratorWes

@Ching - Love your accordions they look very good !!

Hi Wes,

I can see that  the Community pages are on the roadmap but there's no ETA for them yet - there are some things ahead of them. I'm not sure about the Login and Submit Ticket page, I know the Product team is aware of the need to have those pages blend with others - it could just be I'm not able to see those plans. I'll see if there's any more information and give you a better update.

If you have any questions about the customizations, send in a ticket and CC me (I think you have my email) I'll do my best to find some help :)

Great list!

Does anyone here know anything about the BetterCloud site? Specifically, they have a very cool article viewer that has a "table of contents" widget on the site and smooth scrolling into the article when you click the TOC. Does anyone have an idea how this type of article viewer is implemented.

Thanks!

Marc

ModeratorWes

I'm not sure how BetterCloud did this but you may be able to do it via the Bootstrap Framework.  I have lots of tips on how to integrate the Bootstrap Framework into your Help Center.  Take a look at Scrollspy as they have it installed on their site.  http://getbootstrap.com/javascript/#scrollspy

Once I get through working on my new theme I'll see if I can get it implemented on my site.

Hi,

We've gone an altogether different route. Let me know what you think: https://hjelpesenter.finn.no/hc/no (sorry, it's all in Norwegian). The Help Center site is designed to "fit" with our main site www.finn.no which is a classifieds site for the Norwegian market.

ModeratorWes

@Louise - Looks good to me and it fits very nicely with your main site.  The best part is that it's responsive so great job as I was able to bring it up on my mobile device.

Jennifer16

I agree--well done, Louise!

Hi,

Recently discovered that Fairphone was using Zendesk.  I like the idea of showing top questions in the header, to see the faces of the support team and to know when they are available.

Hi,

I would like to hear what you guy's 'n girls think about: https://helpdesk.mijndomein.nl/hc/nl
It's in Dutch maybe multilingual in the future.

ModeratorWes

@Kasra - Design looks good and I liked the tabs.  The only thing different that I would do - is to make the site responsive.  Other than that looks good.  If your interested I have a couple of tutorials on making the Help Center Responsive in the Community Tips section.  Thanks for posting as I'm sure it will inspire others.

@Wes, thans :)
Will work on the responsiveness, I can promise you it will be ground breaking. Almost native app like.
