[ARCHIVED] Extraction of Guide Articles

We have more than 400 articles in Guide and we would like to extract everything for us to do an inventory. However, Zendesk has no feature to extract these articles so we have to do it manually. Extracting each article one-by-one, it causes us too much time to do it.

Also, we would like to extract the content cues. Is there a way to do it?

We would like to suggest if Zendesk could have a button to download these articles with no hassle. This is really helpful for us since we have so many things to do and it will save us so much time.

Hello Elleno,

In what format would you like to extract the articles? In some kind of JSON or XML structure? In that case a future update of one of our apps might interest you.

We'd like to export the articles in CSV file.

We have about 250 articles in our Guide and need to back them up. It took almost 2 weeks of development work tweaking API and Pearl scripts to get a solid backup.

I strongly suggest that ZenDesk put the export (as well as import) facility on the roadmap. How can one feel confident putting files into a system that cannot be (reasonably easy) backed up?  There is an export facility for Tickets. Is the Guide less important?

I would also urge Zendesk to add a native export/import feature to Guide. We are having our articles translated and there is no easy way for the content to be pulled out for our translation service to do their work.
