[ARCHIVED] Easy way to delete 80K of Russian spam?

We received over 87K of Russian spam overnight. It looks like Zendesk has shut of the firehose (yay!), but we're left with so many tickets to mark as spam and delete (boo!).

I was hoping to increase the number of tickets in a view to 100+ to make deletion faster, but found that 30 is hard coded into the system. Divided by 30, I'm looking at 2,666+ actions to remove the tickets.


Any tips or tricks to come out the other side of this crazy with my mind intact?

Hi Heather!

I am so sorry you got lambasted with spam. That is such a bummer.

There isn't any additional functionality built directly into the product, but we do have a Bulk Mark Tickets as Spam endpoint in our API that will let you get all those tickets taken care much faster; the endpoint allows up to 100 ticket ids to be marked as spam at a time. Hopefully that helps!

The same thing has happened to our account - 3 times in the last month.

I can't even turn on captcha because it doesn't work.  Nobody can check the box that they aren't a robot.  It means that the spam stops, but so does the tickets from regular users

t seem to create a trigger to mark any ticket with russian characters as spam as that isn't in the actions...I would really appreciate some help!
