You can use Copenhagen theme for your HC which is more advance with its UI and also mobile compatible. It also comes with good community template.

There used to be other themes, but they were decommissioned recently.  Copenhagen is a fair leap ahead of those themes in terms of functionality though.

Daniel is right--there used to be more standard themes, but now Copenhagen is the only standard theme. If you have custom themes, you can switch to one of those. 

I added a clarification to step 3 of the article you mention to say that if you don't have any custom themes, then you won't see any other themes to switch to.

We definitely want to provide additional templates/themes for Guide, but we're still working on how we're going to actually do it. This means that there isn't any detailed information or timline I can share, but I can definitely confirm that it's on our radar.

Hi Dan,

The article was about deprecating the legacy themes, and the deprecation date past, so that's why the article was archived.

The legacy themes are not available to new or existing customers--unless you are an existing customer currently using a legacy theme. In that case you can keep using, it but you will not get automatic updates and you cannot switch away from the legacy theme (if you do you won't be able to switch back to it).

I have to say it's super disappointing that only one theme is offered on Zendesk.  And it's not a very good-looking theme at that (I notice Zendesk's support doesn't use it).  After researching a lot of sites and solutions, I settled on trying Zendesk after viewing many beautifully designed themes from "existing customers".

Then you sign in and the only option is Copenhagen!?  Where's the ability to add icons to the buttons? Where's the ability to default to an article on the homepage (like a FAQ)?  Where's the widgets and "Add A Ticket" buttons!?!?  If you only offer this one template doesn't that mean that EVERY one of your clients knowledge bases all look like this one very basic looking template?  Seems to me it's a strategy to get you to make a custom edit to the code and now you're suddenly on the Premium Plan?

I thought this was Zendesk... the cadillac of support platforms?  Given that you haven't added another theme since adding Copenhagen, I get the impression "Guide" isn't much a priority for Zendesk.

Equally confusing is why I had to make an additional "login" on Zendesk Support just to post this one comment.  You're not so integrated that you can't use my Zendesk login?

There used to be multiple themes, but those were pulled back with some revisions of Guide. Currently we're running a beta on the Theming Center, which will offer many new options for Themes and customizations of Guide. 

There are also many great tips on how to customize Guide in the Tips and Tricks topic of our Community, as well as many themes offered through third parties - several of which are highly active in the Community and would be happy to help you out. 

As far as the sign on goes, we're definitely aware of that as a pain point and are working on a better solution. It came out of the evolution of our products - originally there was just Support, and Guide came online as a separate product. They remain separate platforms requiring separate sign-ons, but we do have some folks internally looking into that issue. 

We appreciate your feedback and that you gave us a try. We'd be happy to help you further if any of these solutions sound like they'd work for you.

Does anyone know the timeline for the Copenhagen theme becoming the only theme available?

I've found it was announced as a theme in June 2016, but can't seem to see what date the legacy themes were deprecated.

Any help would be great!
