[ARCHIVE] Integrating Zendesk with TFS

Hi,

I did a lot of research today on how Zendesk tickets can be linked to TFS work items.

In general, I understood that they can't :)

i.e. there is an app that can integrate with Visual Studio Teams Services, but this is not Team Foundation Server, and the app is not compatible.

However, TFS itself has the built in option to update Zendesk tickets when work items are commented on. I tried configuring this with one of our developers, based on the VSTS app info, but something is missing. We took the ticket URL (just copied it from the URL bar) and added it as a hyperlink to the work item. The TFS side seems to be working fine, but the process returns that a Zendesk ticket couldn't be found.

Has anyone worked with this? I find it odd that this feature exists in TFS, but there is no Zendesk documentation for it.

Thanks in advance

Hi David,

I don't know if you found what you are looking for, but I am about to try this which appears to provide connectivity between the two:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/service-hooks/services/zendesk?view=vsts

We do use TFS with VSOnline or now what is called Azure Dev Ops, but it is TFS, just hosted.

I'm interested to see if you have found anything else.

Just a follow up.  The VSO pluging from Github does work fine.
