After unlinking content block, artifacts remain

First let me say that I am loving the ability to add reusable content to our HC. This has been a long needed and long awaited feature!

Today I encountered something that seems rather benign in its impact, but super annoying from a workflow persective.

I created a content block, didn't like how it turned out (stripped out some code I needed) so I unlinked it. But then I was left a bunch of id tags in my p tags that I have to clean up:

They aren't really doing any damage to the appearance of the page, but they are annoying the heck out of my OCD so I have to clean them up, which is just kind of a pain.

It would be nice if unlinking cleaned up after itself, or if I knew there was a purpose to these artifacts and could leave them alone knowing it's for the greater good. ;-)

Um, something happened when I cleaned up! I took out the id=XXXXX from each tag, and when I saved it, everything that used to be in the content block just vanished. Now I have to rewrite it. (My OCD is now satisfied that those things DO serve a purpose....but yikes! Not how I wanted to find out!)

@Marci, currently it is not possible to see the content of the Content Block in HTML format, also after unlinking. As you rightly figured out the id is the reference to the content of the content block. I hope that you didn't have to rewrite the content but were able to place it in the article again.
