Add voice recognition feature

I think it could be a good idea to add this functionality (voice recognition) to Zendesk.

I could work like this online tool : https://speechnotes.co/fr/

How add this to Zendesk ?

Hi Marc,

Can you elaborate on the use case you want to cover with this feature? Most operating systems offer some form of speech to text functionality that would enter the text into any input field.

Hi Ramin,

My colleague has problems with the fingers (she keeps typing all day) and she would like to try the "speech to text" method to have better working conditions ...

We work under linux and to my knowledge there is no software for this.

If you have an idea...?

I tried for exemple this one : https://dictation.io/ it works nice but I have to go on this specific url to make it working.

and then copy paste/ copy paste / it's long and tedious...

I'm looking for something ready to use directly with Zendesk

From that list, there are options that don't require a 3rd party web service. I am not a Linus user so can't recommend one but it does look possible. The voicenote extension open a new window to works... (like others)

I also saw this : https://zapier.com/zapbook/speechtrans/zendesk/ but I don't know how it works / how to add it.

It looks like most of the Linux compatible tools require a new window.

We have no plans to offer this functionality 1st party but we are launching the support for 3rd party apps in Chat in the next couple months. In theory, somebody could build an app inside the Chat panel via the apps framework that would use the Google Speech APIs to transcribe voice on a Linux computer and send the result to the visitor.

Yes it should be good to answer customer by speeching (it win a lot of time)

An app will be a good idea (I just have to know how to add to zendesk chat)

especially when using the Zendesk APP on a smartphone, speech recognition can help a lot. Currently I use GBoard with Zendesk APP.

With the dictanote can you use speech recognition with Zendesk Support.
