How does a view's group by sort a custom ticket field?

Assume we have a custom ticket field called "status' with the following values:

  • Reviewed
  • Rejected
  • Requested

If we create a view and use this field as the Group By how does Zendesk choose to sort the group by sections in the view?

Hi Andrew, based on just quick experimentation, it appears to me that it sorts them based on the alphabetic order of the tags associated with each value. Also please note Understanding tags and ticket fields – Zendesk help
