The sandbox theme is not updated when I click on "Update from Github" button.

Usually when I update the theme from GitHub  a popup is displayed with a successfully or failed message. But now nothing is displayed and the theme is not updated.

Please let me know how should I fix this.

Hi Camelia,

I noticed that a ticket has already been submitted for this concern. Please create a followup if you need further assistance. Cheers!

Same happens to us 🙋‍♂️ "Update from GitHub" no longer updates the theme and it doesn't show any error message nor success.

Will change the theme and install again from GH.

Any update would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Think I found the reason.

When I deleted the theme and installed again, then got an error in a custom page.

For some reason, tags like {{breadcrumbs}} don't work in custom pages.

So, the reason for what updating from GitHub didn't work was an error when validating the code. The problem is that you don't get any feedback when updating from GH.

Suggestion 1: Show code validation log when updating a theme from GH.

Suggestion 2: Add documentation on what handlebars tags don't work on custom pages (At least I didn't find it)

Thank you! Cheers!

Hi Jaime, thanks for the update and the suggestions! Regarding the first suggestion, that makes a lot of sense and I'll pass that along to their team. For the second one, we have the available helpers for custom pages here if you need that in the future!
