Hello,

 

We have encountered a limitation within the Zendesk log-in page that leads to unintended cross-branding, posing operational and security challenges.

 

Currently, our Zendesk instance hosts four distinct brands, each with its own name and dedicated team, with department spaces used for brand separation. However, the issue arises when the log-in URL determines which brand name appears on the login page interface.

 

This discrepancy exposes agents to brand names they should not see, potentially leading to cross-brand confusion and even data security risks.

 

After reviewing Zendesk’s settings, we were unable to find an option to control brand name visibility at the login stage.

 

Proposed solutions:

  1. An option to configure the displayed name independently of the URL return text or any attempts to manipulate the link. This would provide a consistent, controlled interface, reducing security risks.
  2. A less ideal option for us is to have the ability to select which brand will be displayed on log-in screen always, regardless of the URL manipulation. 

Implementing such controls would greatly benefit our operations by minimizing potential brand exposure issues and ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.

Hi hello, thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback and for your enagement engagement. As part of the updated login experience that we rolled out earlier this year, the login page now show the URL of the brand - whereas before it was always on the default brand. Hope this addresses what you're looking for! We appreciate your feedback and thank you for being a valuable Zendesk Community member.

Thank you for the update!

 

However, when testing again this update doesn't cover the concerns raised in this product feedback. 

 

There is no URL to the brand visible on the log-in link and it still displays the name of the default brand within that Zendesk instance. 

 

Our initial point still stands - to have the option to configure the brand name independently of the URL return text or any attempts to manipulate the link.
