Adding our comment, we asked about this two years ago.

We are a software provider for multiple banks and each one has it's own Zendesk domain. Each bank is managed as a separate "project" in JIRA.

The way it is currently, we are only allowed to track how many zendesk tickets are related to each JIRA ticket for one project.

It would be invaluable to us to be able to replicate this functionality across all projects.

My company as well has two Jira instances that need to be linked to our singular Zendesk instance.
Each instance of Jira needs the ability to be integrated with Zendesk.
We have no issue creating service accounts as admins in Zendesk to facilitate multiple integrations, but this 1:1 limitation prevents us from connecting our second Jira instance to our Zendesk environment.

We are a SaaS company and one Jira instance is Engineering/Product tickets where bugs and feature requests are logged/worked. These are generated from internal employees and Zendesk support tickets reporting bugs or asking for new features.

The second instance is IT, Ops, Customer Success, so anything done to the customer's environment is logged here and needs to be attached to support tickets within Zendesk as well.

Thank you.

Hi @jim42

I'm working as a pre-sales engineer with Exalate.

Exalate was designed for use-cases like this, it's the bread-and-butter of it.

One of Exalate's features, apart from syncing tickets bi-directionally, is linking multiple Zendesks with Jira and visa versa.

The tickets/bugs/requests will out-of-the-box be fully bi-directionally syncronized, which means, if a field gets updated on either side, it will automatically update on the other side, you can change this to make it uni-directional if you so please.

Exalate is easy and straightforward to set-up and you can control exactly which data you want to send and/or receive.

If you would like to see a customized demo of the product, please book a slot.

Cheers

Hi @sean26 happy to speak with you if still looking into this.

We have multiple products each with their own JIRA instance as they are managed by different development teams. We need to be able to send the tickets to the corresponding product team so need to connect to multiple JIRA accounts.

We are in the process of creating multiple "Brands" in Zendesk so we can easily manage all tickets within our one Zendesk instance, but need to link to each individual JIRA instances in order to inform the appropriate DEV team.

Thanks.

Hi @sean26 happy to speak with you.

We do have 2 instances on Zendesk and one of them is already integrated on our jira account, however, we'd like to connect the new instance with the same jira account we have.

hi, any updates/progress on this feature? as Dan Ross said above, we have multiple Zendesk and multiple Jira instances and are looking to consolidate on both ends, but this feature would be very useful as we do so. Any plans to release it?

In our organization, we have more than two JIRA instances, and need to be linked to our Zendesk account. Please add this new feature.

Is it on roadmap?

I am also interested in the Jira sidebar app being able to connect to multiple Jira instance.

USE CASE

My company was bought by another company; The parent company and several of the children companies all have Jira. With our Support team needing to communicate with teams across various Jira instances, it would be nice if they could use the sidebar app to accomplish this. If not through a single sidebar app, then possibly have the ability to install multiple instances of the sidebar app to connect to the various instances, and have a way to label each sidebar app with the instance it is connected to.

We have two JIRA instances that we would like to connect to the same Zendesk.  One is for internal users, one is to connect with external users.  We would like to sync them to the same Zendesk in order to improve our efficiency handling cases and communicating with clients.  Thank you!

Interested to see if this FR has made any headway? Acquisitions are the “norm” and this need is becoming greater by the day.  Any updates?

Any news on the option to link mulitiple Jira instances from one ZD instance?

  • August 6, 2024

Id like to see this too.
I support customers of my customers and I would like to be able to sync with my customer's Jira accounts so we can update each other's tickets.  I also use JIRA for development, so this isn't something I can do currently.

We have two instances and would like to connect both to ZenDesk.

  • October 17, 2024

Plus one on this request - we have both examples - Multiple ZD Instances that need to go to a single Jira Instance, as well as a single ZD Instance with multiple brands that need to go to different Jira Instances.

Our organisation also has multiple JIra instances that we would like to connect to one Zendesk instance. Please can this feature be looked into? Happy to discuss more details with the Zendesk Product team to get a better idea of our use case. Thank you.

Hi, we have 2 Jira instances we would need to link to one Zendesk instance (one on a brand, the other one on another brand)

This would really enhance our current workflow

This feature would be very useful to us as well, any updates on it?

Will this feature become available soon?

Hello Zendesk Community,

We are using a single Zendesk Support instance configured with multiple Brands.

Current setup (example):

  • One Zendesk Support instance with a default subdomain (e.g. company.zendesk.com)
  • Multiple Brands within the same instance, each with its own brand subdomain, for example:
    • brand-a.zendesk.com
    • brand-b.zendesk.com
    • brand-c.zendesk.com

Each Brand represents a different business unit or product line and is operationally independent.

The native Zendesk–Jira integration is configured at the instance level and currently allows connection to only one Jira Cloud site (e.g. brand-a.atlassian.net).

However, in our scenario:

  • Each Brand is associated with a different Jira Cloud site
    • Brand A → Jira Site A
    • Brand B → Jira Site B
    • Brand C → Jira Site C

Because the integration is limited to a one-to-one relationship, all Brands are forced to share a single Jira instance, which creates challenges in:

  • Data separation between teams
  • Project visibility and permissions
  • Workflow alignment per Brand
  • Governance and compliance

Feature request / question:

  • Is there a roadmap or consideration for supporting multiple Jira Cloud integrations within a single Zendesk instance, mapped by Brand?
  • Alternatively, enabling Jira integration configuration at the Brand level rather than only at the instance level?

This capability would be extremely valuable for organizations using Zendesk Brands to support multiple products or business units that already operate with separate Jira environments.

I’d appreciate hearing from others who face a similar limitation and from the Zendesk team regarding any future plans around this.

Thank you.
