Bluetooth earbuds working for everything except Zendesk in a Chrome browser

I have a new Bluetooth set of earbuds that have paired with my work laptop and work for all applications except Zendesk phone calls when running in Chrome browser. I cannot hear anything. The person on the other end of the phone call can hear me fine, so the microphone works. I can't hear anything.

Ran Zendesk in a Firefox browser and they worked fine. Is there some advanced audio setting in Chrome that I need to modify?

Hello Paige,

Sorry to hear that.

Please note that this seems to be an issue with your local Chrome browser setup.

Can you hear the sound from any of the other website in the same Chrome browser that you are using to open Zendesk?

We would advise you that you check the notification settings for the Zendesk website in Chrome and that you additionally delete the cache and cookies.

You may also test it in an incognito Chrome browser, with all the extensions turned off to check if it works there.

For more info:

Why do I see the error message "Your browser has suspended your audio. Click here to re-enable"?
