Hi there, looking for an chat expert to help me to setup my chat. I need Zendesk chat widget setup three ways.

1. From 5pm to 10pm, just a dumb live chat widget. Automatically pops up when a visitor goes on the site. Proactively. Doesn't ask for name or email.

2. From 10pm to 7am. A message popup, please leave name, phone, email, and a short message

3. From 7am to 5pm. No chat widget at all. Completely hides itself. Thanks in advance

Hi there!

1. You can create a trigger for chat which is specifically for 5pm-10pm whenever an end-user loads the web widget. You can then set it to send a proactive message.

 

 

2. Same as #1 but with just different time conditions. Once they type a message to request to be routed to chat support they would be directed to either the contact form or offline form (depending on what you have enabled).

 

 

 

3. You can suppress the chat widget to load in your Help Center or website depending on the time of day, but it would require a bit of coding. It might be worth checking this article (Can I stop visitors who load the widget before operating hours end from being routed to offline departments?) wherein Eric was able to provide a guide to set that up.
