We use the Jira app in Zendesk, and the Zendesk app in Jira, to link Jira issues to Zendesk tickets. Occasionally, Jira issues are linked to other Jira issues, causing manual work. Our workflow is below:
- A Zendesk agent creates Jira issue ABC-123 is created and manually links it to Zendesk ticket 12345
- Jira issue XYZ-789 is created by an engineer and linked to ABC-123
- A Zendesk agent then manually links XYZ-789 to ticket 12345
This is not ideal due to the risk of missing the creation of linked tickets, and thus not linking them. It's also menial work that should be able to be automated. Is there a way to do this?
At the moment, it's only currently possible to display JIRA issues in the JIRA app that have been linked directly to a ticket. If my understanding is correct, you would like any JIRA issue that is associated with a JIRA issue linked to a Zendesk ticket, to be automatically linked to the Zendesk ticket?
