Automatically create issues in Jira from Zendesk

i have an integration with Jira in place, now I'd like to automate a process which, under certain conditions of course, generates an issue in Jira populated with fields from Zendesk. How can I realise that?

      It might depend on what conditions you're wanting to generate the JIRA issue. Natively, Zendesk can call a webhook via a trigger, when a ticket is created or updated, or via an automation, which checks non-Closed tickets roughly hourly to see if they match certain conditions. Ticket field values could then be supplied to the webhook via placeholders. However, if the conditions you're wanting to create JIRA issues under don't fit what can be handled by a trigger or automation, then you'd probably need to write a script outside of Zendesk, and use the Zendesk API to retrieve any ticket values you need for the JIRA issue.         I'm not able to do that, unfortunately, as I'm not familiar with the JIRA API, or with the specifics of how one would create a JIRA issue via their API. You'll need to seek out the JIRA API documentation, and/or contact their support team. The resources I linked to above can help once you know how to do that. Sorry I can't be of more help here.

        Jan, hi. If you decide to try a different approach, i'd like to suggest one. It's a tool that will automatically populate the fields you want, plus, it also allows for customization according to specific use cases. Feel free to take a look at it. It might be what you need.
