'Updater Role' not filtering 'Updater Name'

Hey James, are you saying the query results show end user updaters, or the filter shows end user names?  If the former, can you share a screenshot of your query?  If the latter, the query filters always show all options available in the system - the filters won't interact with each other during your query build - the options then apply/kick in at run time and filter on your query results.

@Hillary Latham I am referring to the latter. What I'm trying to do is apply a filter selection box to the 'Agent Updates' page of the default dashboard. I have applied Updater Role = Agent,Admin to the query and the dashboard in testing, but neither produce the result I want for the Updater Name filter. 

I want the box to only have names of agents in our company to filter the tab results by. Is there any way to create a filter box that only contains names of agents/admins?

Hey James, thanks for clarifying.  I have a few thoughts.  Both involve creating new attributes.

(1) Create a custom attribute set.  This lets you take an existing attribute, then save it as a different attribute with pre-selected values.  Then you can use that attribute in your query and/or for your filter.  It will have the limited choices.  Downside, you have to maintain it as names are added, but it's easy to do so and it applies to all existing queries as soon as you update it.  Here I've created a subset of Assignees on a particular team I report on a lot so I don't have to re-filter and select the long list of names in every query.

(2) You could create your own standard calculated attribute to get you a list of Updaters that are only Agents.   Here is an example one I created you can adapt to your needs:
