Hello. I am new to the reporting in Zendesk and Explore. I need to pull the following datasets:

- Published articles viewed per Category (including article title, category, and section as columns)

- Published articles viewed per Section (including article title, category, and section as columns)

I need to see Categories and Sections as metrics by which I can filter. Am I missing something?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi Christopher,

Creating a report on published articles viewed per category in Zendesk Explore requires using the "Guide: Knowledge Base" dataset, which tracks user interactions with your help center content.

To create a report on published articles viewed per category, there's an available Explore recipe here: Explore recipe: Help center category views

On the other hand, I'm afraid there isn't an available recipe for Published articles viewed per Section. However, similar to the previous Explore recipe, you can create a report on published articles viewed per section by recreating that same Group attribute, but in this case you'll be entering the Section names. You can use that recipe as a guide as well.

Creating and managing reports in Zendesk Explore can be complex due to the multitude of options and customization available. If you are not able to get the expected results, feel free to start a messaging conversation with us so we can further discuss this.

For available metrics and attributes you can use in reporting on your knowledge base, more information can be found here: Metrics and attributes for Zendesk Guide

I hope this helps.
