Hi Zendesk Community,

We'd like to have a report that shows the Total % of End-Users who have submitted tickets in specific Regions against a specific team's ticket requests topics to determine if there is a region submitting a higher volume of tickets than others. To accomplish this, we'd like to add the End User count and % of total to the existing report we have for this team, but we'd like to exclude these columns from being included/filtered by our dashboard or report filters. Does anyone know if this is even possible?

Hi Hannah,

Thanks for your question!

What you're aiming to do—adding the End User count and percentage columns to your team report while excluding them from dashboard or report filters—is a bit complex but can be approached in Zendesk Explore using custom calculated metrics and carefully designed filters.

Unfortunately, Explore doesn’t natively support excluding specific columns from dashboard or report filters selectively. Filters typically apply across all metrics and attributes in the query or dashboard.

As a workaround, you might consider:
  • Creating separate report or widgets for the End User count and percentage that are not affected by the dashboard filters, then placing them alongside your main report on the dashboard.
  • Using dashboard-level filter controls judiciously and designing queries with necessary attribute or metric filters embedded so they aren’t influenced by global filters.
  • Employing custom calculated metrics to isolate the End User data you want to display independently.

I hope this helps!
