Hi Team,
I am in process of migrating users from one instance to another instance. How do I migrate them along with their existing credential?

Hi James,

While there is no direct tool natively that can migrate end users from one account to another, what we suggest is to use the user export/import feature, see this article here on export options, and subsequently then follow the steps in this article here to import the users into the new account.

Hope this answers your question.

Hi @sonny Thanks for your feedback but above articles doesn't provide the option to retain the customer's credential in new zendesk account.

Hi James,

Thank you for your reply.

Can you clarify about retaining the credential in new Support instance? The endusers will be using the same login credentials or it can be changed by the admin but the profile of endusers can be transferred to the new instance using the export option.

Thank you!

Hi @sonny, I am merging two zendesk account to single one. During that process, I am migrating existing end users to new account. So I would like to retain their old credential in new account. Will it possible?

Hi James,

There is not a way to export passwords/credentials to new instance for security purposes. We recommend to re-establish their identity with the new account.

Thank you!
